Biography
Sometimes I wonder just what exactly it is that I’m doing. Most often, times like those are followed by either extreme recklessness or extreme dedication to responsibility. I think that maybe, despite my political views and opinions on most matters, I have difficulty finding a “happy middle” for my life.

I want it all. I’m not explicitly sure what all I want, but I know that I want it with more sincerity than I knew I possessed. Unequivocally, I want to see it all, I want to be it all; I want to breathe, eat, and live it all.

I’m also afraid of it all, as ironic as that may seem to you. Have you ever wanted something so badly, that when the time came to take it, you were too scared to move? Or maybe you realize that your goal is in the middle of a very large maze. So you stand there for ages, immobilized by your inability to make a decision—all the while listening as the clock ticks the time away without mercy.

I believe that I’m experiencing the latter. I also believe that I’m coming to the point in my life where the clock will force my hand, and time will necessitate a decision. What I hope is that I’ve moved close enough to the right path, that when that time comes, I’ll start the journey that will lead to the center of the maze.

On a less vague-and-dramatic note:

I have an uncontrollable obsession with unusual words. I love the way words like "cacoethes" "preternatural" and "pulchritude" stick on my tongue, burn in my mind, and slide their way into my conversations. I like adjectives. I also like adverbs... sometimes to the extremes. For the most part, I just like words in general. It's sort of a hobby of mine to collect them.

So my assiduous interest in foreign languages is not so unusual, nor is my fascination with ancient histories and texts. I have a minor obsession with Ancient Egypt and a budding curiosity for China. My obession even lends itself to an itching for knowledge in all forms of religious texts, though I am not religious myself.

To be honest, I just like to learn. Put a book in front of me and I won't be able to stop myself from picking it up. I would, however, love to learn first hand one of these days.

I also like punctuation, and can get a little overenthusiastic at times. Regardless, please use it; I'd hate to have to judge you.; -)

Another warning: I speak very, very quickly. I'm sorry if I lose you; I promise it's unintentional. Just imagine... I think twice as fast as I can speak!

As a final note, I like green things of all kinds; please be friendly to our photosynthesizing friends. And animals, too. Let's not play favorites here.

How I found LoBD:
I discovered it through a good friend of mine. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, that friendship faded. I can only hope that one day we're good friends again. He's a great guy.

Why I keep coming back:
Because I write things far too frequently, and I think people on my myspace/facebook are getting tired of the notifications when I post.

Languages I speak:
English, a little spanish. I'm taking classes to learn more. I hope to one day be trilingual, at least moderately so.

Favorite music:
My preferences change right along with my mood, so I have difficulty picking a favorite in anything. I do believe that the only thing I can decide on is that my favorite color is yellow. As for everything else, music included, it can vary from day to day and even hour to hour. I want it all, and I can't decide between all my favorites. I tend to use more words and choose more visual stimuli than is strictly necessary in any given situation.

So, to put it shortly:

A little bit of everything, though I'm getting more into alternative. I like Muse, The used, Incubus, Matchbook Romance, Josh Groban, FOB, AFI, Jem, Yellowcard, Sublime, Hawthorne Heights, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Sugarcult, Panic at the Disco, Lifehouse,Sum 41, 3 doors down, John Mayer, Frou Frou, Maroon 5, The postal service, Oldies and some country...

What I like to read/have read:
Oooohhhh anything. I am most definitely a bookworm. But again, I can't pick a favotire book. I have threee favorite genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Historical Fiction. I've recently started to like plain old Novels, though. I really like books like The Lovely Bones, My Sister's Keeper, and the Secret life of Bees. My favorite authors so far are:

Gregory Maguire
Kelly Armstrong
Sherwood Smith
Stephanie Meyer
J.K. Rowling
Tamora Pierce
Garth Nix
Philippa Gregory
Mark Twain
DJ MacHale
Christopher Paolini
Hilari Bell
C.E. Murphy
Jodi Picoult
Sue Monk Kidd
Alice Sebold
Natalie Babbit
Gail Carson Levine
JRR Tolkien
C.S. Lewis
Scott Westerfield

And a few others I can't think of...

Favorite movies/TV shows:
The 4400, Eureka, Smallville, Avatar, Ribinhood (BBC), HEROES, Jimmy Neutron, THE OFFICE, documentaries of nearly every variety.

Movies... Aaahh I'll have to get back to you on that one.

My favorite activities:
I would say that one of my most favored (and enduring) activities would be reading. Considering that, it's not too far of a leap to writing.
Beyond that, I love to sing. I learn at every moment possible, and I run or skip or dance even when it's not necessarily appropriate.
Despite the opinions you may have just formed about me, I do have friends, and I love them dearly. We're Cyclones. And nerds, too, but I don't believe that we have yet crossed the threshold into Geekdom.
I also enjoy some of the better videogames out there, and I think that Soccer is the best sport. End of discussion.
On a different note, I debate quite frequently. I'm just giving you fair warning.
And did I mention I like guns? Not in a creepy sniper kind of way, but in a paintballing-bbgun-halo 2 kind of way.

As far as other activities go, I enjoy running, hiking, soccer, racketball, being with my family...

My dreams and ambitions:
To be happy.

What I'm thinking right now:
That this is a lot like a survey.

I want to meet people like this:
I'm not sure how to answer this. Chatting and such?

If you want to meet me, this is how to say "Hello":
HI!

Favorite subject in school:
Ummmm... English. But History and Political Science were right behind.

If I could have any superpower, it would be:
Either to know people (like if I touched them, you can kind of surf through their memories. I'm actually writing a story about it)

Or telekinesis. That'd be amazing. Think about it--You could do anything, not just move objects. You could stop people's hearts!

My most cherished virtues:
Honesty
Integrity
Loyalty
And just... Respect people. Not because you're afraid of some higher power, or trying to get into an afterlife... But because it's the right thing to do.

Clubs/organizations I belong to:
None atm. Besides a writers thing.

Shows/performances I have been to:
Not very many...

Anything else?:
This really is a survey!
